08:00 Board a cruise for an amazing long tail boat journey. Cruise along the Mekong River past beautiful Laotian countryside and local villages to where the Mekong meets the Nam-Ou River. Stop at the fascinating Pak Ou caves, which is in fact a cave system of two interlinked caves, crammed full of Buddha statues left behind by pilgrims over generations. Cross over the river to Ban Pak Ou and visit Tad Sae waterfall. This stunning waterfall cascades over the forest with cool natural swimming pools.
After lunch then you head off to Khuang Si Waterfall and the Bear Rescue Centre, about 30mins from Luang Prabang. The waterfall is set in a natural jungle setting and you will have plenty of time to relax or swim in its turquoise cool pools. Return to Luang Prabang and for those with some extra energy climb Phousi Hill. The 328 steps to the top are certainly worth it. Once at the summit you’ll have for a fabulous panoramic view over the town centre, the mighty Mekong River and beyond. Return to your hotel at 17:30
