08:00: Transfer from your hotel by Tuk Tuk the short distance to the Pakse pier for a long-tail boat journey to Champasak. Take a leisurely 1-hour boat ride downstream, arriving at the pier in Champasak your vehicle will be waiting to take you to the UNESCO world heritage site of Wat Phou located just 12 km away from Champasak.
Wat Phou dates back to the 6th Century and was the first temple to be built by the Khmer Empire. Wat Phou was the center of the Khmer Kingdom before their capital was moved to Angkor. It was originally built as a Hindu temple before being converted into a Buddhist temple in later centuries. After leisurely exploring Wat Phou return to Champasak for lunch
After lunch, we continue to visit the charming colonial town of Champasak and the oldest temple Wat Luangkaou, before returning to Pakse by road on the way stop at Wat Phou Salao where you can enjoy the view of Pakse and Mekong Bridge. Return to your hotel around 17:30
