08:00 You will be met by your guide at your hotel for a day tour of Luang Prabang. The trip starts with a morning trip to Phou Si Market where you will see a diverse array of local products: local teas, fruits, vegetables and hill-tribe handicrafts.
After a leisurely trip to the market continue to the boat pier for the boat trip to visit Ban Chan a local village just outside Luang Prabang. Ban Chan is famous for its traditional pottery makin. Then you head off to Khuang Si Waterfall and the Bear Rescue Centre, about 30mins from Luang Prabang. The waterfall is set in a natural jungle setting and you will have plenty of time to relax or swim in its turquoise cool pools. Return to Luang Prabang and for those with some extra energy climb Phousi Hill. The 328 steps to the top are certainly worth it. Once at the summit you’ll have for a fabulous panoramic view over the town centre, the mighty Mekong River and beyond.
In the evening explore the Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textiles by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Return to your hotel at 18:30.
