This trip heads out by bike along the backroads to the weaving village of Don Kho. It can also be done as a classic tour or even by boat for those who prefer the river!
Starting from central Pakse, our first stop is Wat Luang. Then we head out of town to Don Kho Village stopping at Chomphet temple.
As we reach Don Kho we see the Lao Silk Textile Center one the Mekong River Bank. After visiting the weaving centre we take a longtail boat across the Mekong to Don Kho Village island. Cycle around Don Kho before taking a boat across to the other side of the Mekong. We have lunch at Ban Saman at a local restaurant. After lunch we continue cycling past rice fields seeing their daily lifes. Pass the villages of Ban Phaling, Ban Thapho and Ban Muang Kao. After Muang Kao we meet the main road before crossing the Mekong Bridge we also stop Wat Phou Salao for great view of Mekong River and the town of Pakse before arriving back in Pakse around 17:30.
