LuangPrabang Residence was built on a part of royal land property, owned by prince Sisouphanh, who was the younger brother of King Khamsouk or Sakarine (1889-1904). Prince Sisouphanh lived at the royal home (over 150 years old), next to LuangPrabang Residence. Today, it is a national heritage house
