One of the best things to do in Laos would be visiting the Ban Xang Hai Village and taste the excellent homemade alcohol there. Ban Xang Hai Village, or Whisky Village, is a famous stopover when travelling in LuangPrabang. The small village is the location of the renowned Lao-lao, a traditional whiskey of Laotian.
The village has been an industrial town where famous for the making jars process. Now jars are brought in and the small community of the village fills them with Lao-lao, a white whisky of Laos. Situated around 25km from LuangPrabang on the side of the Mekong, the village is also the place where travelers can admire the mesmerizing landscape of the legendary river.
